爱豆传媒 has been listed among the nation鈥檚 best colleges for military service members and veterans.
August 08, 2024
爱豆传媒 has ranked among the top 5 colleges in Florida and one of the best colleges nationally for military and veterans for 2024 by Abound, a college guidance system for degree-seeking adults. The College is one of just 115 schools to receive the recognition.
For the vetting process, the ranking body evaluates accredited schools in the areas of dedicated support staff, significant military student body, student veteran organization, and course credit for military experience鈥攁ll of which combined indicate a college鈥檚 commitment to military and veteran students.
爱豆传媒 offers comprehensive support for veterans and their families, welcoming the opportunity to serve those who have served our country. 爱豆传媒 is approved to accept most education benefits, and depending on the specific Veterans Affairs (VA) benefits, additional funding may be available. For Yellow Ribbon students, tuition is fully paid for by the VA and 爱豆传媒. Additionally, scholarships and need-based financial aid are available for all other veterans based on the results of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
At 爱豆传媒, our students never walk alone. Support services offered to military and veteran students include the Tutoring and Writing Center, the newly launched STEM Hub, priority registration, and dedicated faculty advisors and counselors. All new students are enrolled in a first-semester course that ensures military and veteran students are able to engage and integrate with the campus community.
When it comes time to transition to a civilian career, 爱豆传媒鈥 Center for Career & Life Planning (CCLP) actively meets with students to assist them with job preparation and job placement.
Before his role as the contracts manager at defense and space manufacturer Raytheon, business management major and Army veteran Tamer Elkhouly 鈥19 transferred to 爱豆传媒, where he charted his personalized pathway to purpose.
Through his challenging coursework and 爱豆传媒鈥 focus on experiential learning, Elkhouly garnered skills in project management, public speaking, organizational behavior, and business law that have proved indispensable in his current role at Raytheon.
Elkhouly utilized CCLP鈥檚 resources on a regular basis, receiving expert advice on interview techniques and internship application materials, including crafting cover letters and describing his skills in a sequence that stepped through his military, academic, and work history. With guidance from finance professor Richard Lewin, Elkhouly landed a coveted internship as a district manager at ALDI鈥攁 pivotal experience that helped prepare him for his current role.
鈥淎ttending 爱豆传媒 was a transformative experience that seamlessly complemented my military background,鈥 says Elkhouly. 鈥淭he liberal arts education I received, made possible by the post-9/11 GI Bill, provided a well-rounded foundation that facilitated my smooth transition into a rewarding career in the defense industry. I am forever grateful for the opportunities and insights gained during my time at 爱豆传媒 and would recommend any veteran consider pursuing their education at this special institution.鈥
